Join us for our first movie night of the year - featuring Monsters University!
This is a FREE family fun event, courtesy of Horizon PTA. **Please note kids must have an adult with them - NO drop offs!** Concessions including pizza by the slice ($2/slice), beverages, candy, and more will be available at Movie Night (cash / card accepted). Want to pre-order a full pizza for your family? This is the most economical option, and ensures you will get pizza (we have run out in the past). Pre-Order your Pizza Meal Deal (one full pizza + 4 beverages) for $20 online in our Square Shop or by returning the paper order form by Wednesday 9/28 to the office with cash or check (payable to Horizon PTA). |

Yearbook Orders Have closedWe have seen/heard questions about purchasing yearbooks since the schools were closed unexpectedly prior to the original 3/31 deadline.
Horizon PTA would like to do what we can to help families still order their yearbooks. We have created a yearbook listing in our square shop. You can order your yearbook(s) through the listing and we will make sure they are purchased. Orders will be accepted through Tuesday, 4/14. Visit our Square Shop here: horizon-hawks-pta.square.site |
APEX Leadership Program & Spring Fundraiser - UPDATE
We're Building Leaders at Horizon!Thank you so much to all who supported Horizon PTA through our APEX Leadership Program & Spring Fundraiser. Despite all that was going on during this time, students benefited greatly from the daily leadership lessons and positivity that the Apex Team brought.
Pledges were collected to support Horizon PTA's programs and events as well as upcoming large projects. All students at participated in the Leadership Program and REMIX event (a glow experience with fitness moves) regardless of their fundraising achievement. Thank you so much for supporting Horizon PTA and helping us end this year strong and go into the 2020-21 school year able to take on even more projects, programs, and events. Horizon PTA has also pledged 10% of all funds collected during this fundraiser will be available as classroom grants. This is a really exciting opportunity for your student(s) class! |

Thank you for another successful Fall Fundraiser!!!
This year's fundraiser brought in $8,850 for Horizon PTA which helps us fund programs and events throughout the school year.

Holiday Shop - A safe way for students and families to shop!
Horizon PTA is excited to announce that Kidz Korner Holiday Shoppe is coming to our school!
On Monday, December 2nd all classes will preview the shop. Every student will be given a budget envelope to bring home that night to help decide how much they would like to spend on gifts for their friends and family. Many items start as low as $0.25, with items priced up to $15.00.
Every student at Horizon will be given $1.00 to spend when they return to the shoppe with their class!!!
Each class will have a scheduled shopping time on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to buy their gifts. Each gift will be wrapped and ready to go!
Students and their families are invited to shop during our FREE PTA Holiday Movie Night on Friday the 6th. The Holiday Shoppe will be open from 5-8pm in the gym, with our movie starting at 6pm in the Cafeteria.
This is a safe and fun way for students (and families) to shop for the holidays, and we are excited to provide the opportunity for all students to participate through the free $1 in Shoppe Bucks.

Thursday, November 14th from 5-7pm Covington McDonald's 17431 SE 272nd Ave. Catch up with your Horizon Community at our first McTeacher night of the year! 20% of all sales in the restaurant and through the drive-thru between 5-7pm will come back to Horizon PTA. Don't forget to bring cash for cookies, apple pies, and coupons! |

Family Bingo Night was a HUGE success!
WOW! Thank you to all who attended and volunteered!
Our first Bingo Night was a smashing success. Nearly 200 Horizon Students, Staff, Family Members, and Community Members joined us for two hours of FUN playing Bingo.
It was so great to see so many families spending time together at the end of the week, and choosing to spend that time at our school.
You totally overwhelmed us with your response to this event - we were AMAZED at the turnout! We have already heard LOTS of requests for another Bingo Night and would love to make that happen later in the school year.

Summer Clean-Up Work Party
Thanks so much to those who showed up to help clean up the campus!
We were able to do lots of updates around campus - brightening up safety paint, trimming bushes, removing moss, and much more!

Summer Outdoor Movie Night
Horizon's first summer outdoor movie night was a great success! 120 Horizon students, staff, family, and community members enjoyed lawn games and time on the playground before the movie began. Horizon PTA is thankful for the partnership with our school, and the invitation to sell concessions at this event. It was a great way to celebrate the end of the Summer Reading and Library program, and to prepare for school to start.
Thanks to all who attended - we hope you enjoyed the evening.... even with the surprise sprinkler attack mid-movie!
