We Need You To Get Involved!
A Little Bit Makes a Big Difference!
Horizon's PTA is powered by amazing volunteers who make a huge difference in the lives of each and every student at Horizon. Here is your chance to volunteer and help support our kids and school!
There is something to fit everyone's time and talents! Whether you choose a one-time event or an ongoing role, we appreciate and encourage everyone to help in any way they can. There are some jobs that do take more time, and some less. We even have jobs that don't require coming to school AT ALL.
Our volunteers are our most vital asset. Your time is incredibly valuable. We realize that volunteering isn't always easy with families, work and life responsibilities. We want to teach, grow and enrich our children and school through you!
Who can volunteer?
ANYONE can volunteer! Parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, siblings and community members.
Our events are a GREAT way for high school students to get their volunteer hours in!
Do I need to be a PTA member to volunteer?
No, absolutely not. You can volunteer without being a member. There is never any requirement to join.
How do I qualify to be a volunteer?
All volunteers during school hours must go through an easy, online Kent School District screening process, for the safety of students and volunteers alike. You may apply online through the secure Volunteer In Public Schools (VIPS) portal at https://www.kent.k12.wa.us/volunteer. A notification of your volunteer status is typically sent within 24 hours.
2024-2025 PTA Volunteer Interest Form
Please download the Volunteer Interest Form below. You can check any of the areas that are of interest to you. We welcome any additional information about your skills, talents and the time you are available to help out.
Please return this completed form to the school office or you may email it to [email protected]. You will then be contacted about how you can help!
